Notice to Users of Consumer Reports: Obligations of Users Under the FCRA
The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), 15 U.S.C. 1681–1681y, requires that the notice below be provided to users of consumer reports to inform them of their legal obligations. It is published by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and is reproduced here without modification.
This is the “FCRA Obligations Page” referenced in the HomeReady™ Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Those documents delegate FCRA disclosure, authorization, certification, permissible-purpose, and adverse-action obligations to this notice and to the separate FCRA forms that apply to screening-related services.
